Inside Our Blanc Wear Trunk Show: A New Icon in High-Fashion Bridal

There’s a certain satisfaction in finding a designer who stands apart—one who’s creating wedding dresses you haven’t seen a hundred times over. That’s exactly what Blanc Wear brought to our recent trunk show: a fresh, high-fashion bridal brand that’s already earning a reputation as the new go-to for modern brides.

For three weeks, our studio was home to Blanc Wear’s rare and refined collection, each gown telling its own story through thoughtful design and couture-level details. Take La troisième, for instance—a floor-length gown with a unique balloon hem that can be raised with hidden internal strings, blending elegance with versatility. Its low open back and soft, rounded basque waistline bring a modern femininity that feels effortlessly chic. Then there’s La septième, a moon-shaped silk bustier gown that flows from a beautifully gathered drop Basque waist into a fully lined skirt with a cathedral-length train, a statement piece that balances structure and grace. Finally, La onzième captivates with its draped bustier, a soft yet supportive internal structure, and a detachable Watteau pleat train that elevates the gown’s simplicity with a hint of drama. Each of these designs feels original and sophisticated—perfect for the bride looking for something genuinely unique.

At the heart of Blanc Wear is designer Sarah Bruylant, who crafts each gown from her atelier in Amsterdam. With a background that blends her French-Belgian roots and a passion for couture craftsmanship, Sarah designs pieces meant to be cherished for a lifetime. She believes deeply in the connection between the bride and her dress, drawing inspiration from vintage editorials, her world travels, and a respect for timeless techniques—all of which shine through in her collection.

The Blanc Wear bride is confident and unapologetic, embracing her uniqueness and dressing for herself above all. During the trunk show, brides quickly connected with this spirit, finding gowns that ranged from minimalist to intricately detailed. Each piece embodies an elegance that resonates with brides who know exactly who they are and desire their wedding look to reflect that.

Missed the trunk show? Not to worry—by late November, Blanc Wear will be here to stay. We’re thrilled to become their exclusive stockist in Australia, making our studio the only place outside of Amsterdam where you can try on these stunning gowns.
