Sunday Eve Bride: Elen
Welcome to our very first Sunday Eve bride blog! We’re so excited to share the stories behind our brides, their weddings, and the gowns they chose. First up, our gorgeous Elen, a bride who gave us all the effortless European vibes in the heart of the Hunter Valley.
THE LOVE STORY
Elen and Louis’s journey began eight years ago in Sydney, right after uni. Fast forward to life in London, where Louis proposed one relaxed Friday evening in their flat. Just the two of them, cocktails in hand, it was private and heartfelt, exactly their style.
When it came time to plan their wedding back in Australia, they found their dream venue, Bimbadgen Palmers Lane, during a whirlwind visit home. The stunning Hunter Valley location set the stage for their elegant, wine-filled celebration.
THE WEDDING
Held at Bimbadgen Palmers Lane in the Hunter Valley, Elen and Louis’s wedding was all about understated elegance with a European-inspired twist. They leaned into their love for food, wine, and good company to create an intimate dinner-party vibe that ended with a dance floor packed with energy.
The day was filled with thoughtful, personal touches—like a Dutch wedding tradition led by Louis’s mum, where the couple shared a sweet and bitter drink to symbolise the ups and downs of life together.
The styling by Jade Mcintosh Flowers and Styling was lush and romantic, perfectly complementing the natural beauty of the venue. Guests were treated to family-style share plates, carefully selected wines, and live music from the Baker Boys Band and Sydney Ensemble that kept the mood exactly where it needed to be—from laid-back during dinner to full party mode later on.

THE GOWN
Elen started her dress search with an idea of simplicity—thinking along the lines of sleek silk gowns with minimal details. But when she tried on the Blair + Surrey set by The Law, it sparked something unexpected. It wasn’t an immediate "yes," but it lingered in her mind long after she left the studio.
She came back to give it another go, and that’s when everything clicked. While the set was gorgeous as a two-piece, it wasn’t quite her. But as we discussed reimagining it into a single gown, Elen lit up—it felt right, like the perfect balance of structure and movement she was searching for.
To finish the look, she skipped the traditional veil and chose a crinkle silk neck scarf by Gown and Altar. It was effortless, modern, and undeniably cool—just like Elen herself.
IN HER WORDS
Reflecting on her dress journey, Elen shared that it wasn’t the gown she initially envisioned, but it was the gown that felt like her. And that’s what we strive for here at Sunday Eve Bridal—helping brides find the dress that makes them feel like the most beautiful version of themselves.
Elen’s wedding was a celebration of love, family, and effortless elegance, and we’re so honoured to have been part of her journey. Stay tuned for more real bride stories, and don’t forget to follow along as we continue to share the magic happening at Sunday Eve Bridal.
